2020 PARC SuperSeries Primer
We are excited to be starting our 17th PARC SuperSeries season with our new rental karts! The new race format, rules package, and overall program that we ran past seasons will see a few changes. We are able to put 20 karts on the track so there will no longer be a limit to the number of drivers. The 2020 PARC SuperSeries will start in May and run through the beginning of September. Please note that we will run a 5 race format with 1 drop. Here is an outline of the program:
The PARC SuperSeries will contest 3 different categories…
Open -(16 yrs. and older drivers who have raced with us before or in another rental series)
Heavy -(drivers weighing a minimum of 190lbs)
Rookie -(16 yrs. and older who have never raced in a series before).
Junior -(13 yrs. to 15 yrs. & must be pre-approved)
All 3 categories will race together, intermixed at the same events. At the conclusion of the series 3 Champions will be crowned along with 3 runner-ups and 3 third place drivers. Championship trophies will be handed out at the series finale pizza night.
There will be 2 possible formats that we will run. Due to the limited time before dark we will need to change the format based on the number of driver that show up.
RACE FORMAT #1: 1-24 DRIVERS
Each race night will consist of an 8 minute qualifying session, two 8 lap eat races and a 12 lap main event. It will be a points based format. This means you will start each heat race where you qualify. Points will be totaled for qualifying and each heat race to figure the starting positions for the main event. Tie breakers would refer to qualifying order. Event points are figured off of the main finishing order only.
RACE FORMAT #2: 25+ DRIVERS
Each race night will consist of an 8 minute qualifying session, one 10 lap heat race and a 14 lap main event. It will be a points based format. Heat groupings will be determined off qualifying. Group 1 will be odds and Group 2 will be evens. Points will be totaled for qualifying and the heat race to determine the starting grid for the main event. Tie breaker will refer to qualifying order. Top 1/2 get into the A-Main and all else get into the B-Main. Winner of the B-Main will automatically transfer to the back of the A-Main. Event points are figured off of the main finishing order only.
Karts will be pre certified by our staff prior to each race day to ensure consistency. A complete race staff, including race director, official starter, grid steward and corner marshals, will be present for each round.
Of the 5 races staged at PARC, drivers will tally their top 4 finishes, determining who will take home the end of the year hardware. Race by race awards will also be handed to each of the categories top 3 finishers on a nightly basis.
Pre-registration will be available for the entire Series, as well as for each race. Pre-registration discount price is $89.00 per race night. Drivers signing up for the entire series will be guaranteed a seat for each round, with the remaining seats being filled on a first-registered basis. PRE-REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON SUNDAY AT 6:00 p.m. PRIOR TO THE CURRENT EVENT. Race day walk-ins will be taken at the full entry price. ($99.00)
